Swedish knitwear designer Åsa Söderman needed a complete book design for her debut publication – 244 pages, 18 patterns, and nearly 50 pages of photography-heavy tutorials – that would do justice to her meticulous, elegant aesthetic. Zing developed the concept and delivered the full InDesign layout, then negotiated and managed print runs with three different printers across England, Scotland, and Poland as the book grew in popularity. The result was a beautifully received publication that sold multiple print runs and led to an ongoing design relationship spanning postcards, adverts, and a second book.
“It’s amazing how clearly the patterns stand out on each page, so uncluttered and clean.” KateDalrymple (Moira, Scotland)
“There are so many lovely touches, but I really adore how the pattern table of contents tells you the pertinent details in case you forget the names.” Knitosaurusrex (Jessica, USA)
“I’ve just downloaded the book and it looks utterly, utterly wonderful and glorious and fine. Such fun to look at, and so thoughtful and helpful and elegant and complete!” Metaleptic (Susan, USA)
